Fear Not the Storm

This is me, basically, when it storms. (If it's warm, anyway.) I love going out and standing in the rain, watching the lightning, and listening to the thunder. This one took forever to do--all the rain spattering on the ground and in the puddles took the longest!

On rare occasions you will get a light drift, but that's about it. So what might two reptilians make on Christmas? A sandman. This was one of the more fun pictures I have ever made.

Expectance

An expecting snow leopard shows her little one the moon. This one started out as a colored-pencil work, but I smudged it so badly (the blue, mostly, onto the white) that I had to redo it. But I liked the sky coloring so much that I took the best part of it, multiplied it across the page, and used some filters to get the texture I wanted. So while the sky is a VERY small part colored pencil, the piece is 99 percent digital. I hope it's enough to qualify!

As with the other, I looked at tons of pictures of multi-vortex tornadoes to get an idea of how they looked. This one took rather longer to get right...all those funnels within the same system was tough to manage.

It's probably one of my better digital pictures and I must have looked at a million tornado pictures and video clips to get an idea of how they moved. The dust cloud at the bottom was actually the most difficult.
